Centrally located, Woodstock is a great place to stay and enjoy our amenities and recreation in town or and take a pleasant drive to other recreation attractions that await you in Shenandoah County. Enjoy a plethora of outdoor activities including those listed in detail on the Shenandoah County tourism website.

Town Parks

The Town of Woodstock owns and maintains a number of parks and recreational areas. Each park has it's own unique attributes and reasons for our community and visitors to enjoy;

- W.O. Riley Park boasts a number of amenities including shelters for rent, a public pool, playground, event space, and athletic courts and fields
- Riverview Park has baseball and softball fields utilized by our local Woodstock Edinburg Little League
- Fairview Park with has a 3.1 mile pedestrian trail/ running course and a dog park constructed by Public Works in 2017

Future Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan

The Town of Woodstock has engaged a professional design and planning firm to produce a plan for a future bicycle and pedestrian trail network. We realize the importance such a trail has for the well being and health of our citizens and the positive impact it will have on our local economy. We imagine a beautiful trail full of locals and visitors interacting among themselves and with nature and enjoying our current and new businesses that will open to meet the needs of trail users.

An illustrative map is included below to detail the 12.45 mile loop.

We have begun phase 1 of this project and a concept photo is included below as an idea of what one of our future access points may look like.
